BGI Nanopore Peptide Profiling

The BGI have a new protein sequencing paper out!

It’s interesting for a couple of reasons:

  • It’s a neat scaled out demonstration of peptide classification.

  • It gave us a little more information on a BGI nanopore platform.

Here they stick some DNA on the ends of a peptide, this lets them thread if through a nanopore and use existing nanopore DNA sequencing technology to control it’s translocation:
