Illumina Constellation, 2x500bp MiSeq i100 Reads

Users over on the Discord are busy posting pics from the Illumina ASHG presentation. There are a couple of things from this that really stand out: 2x500bp reads on the i100 and Constellation).

At I high level the two biggest take aways for me were:

• Illumina can probably push to 1Kb reads, but we knew that anyway…

• You may be able to just throw DNA on a sequencer and let it do all the library prep. This might make Illumina more attractive than other platforms (Element, Ultima, Onso) for many applications.
