In addition to Roche’s Nanopore non-announcement there were further non-announcements from the second best British nanopore startup.
The most interesting development to my mind was a re-announcement of an approach they’ve been talking about for more than 4 years:

Let’s try and break this down a bit… the schematic shows a “fluidic resistor”:
I did a BTEC in electronics nearly 20 years ago, which fully qualifies me to say that what you’ve got here is a voltage divider. You’re essentially measuring current using that sense resistor. But what the hell is a “fluidic resistor”?… as far as I can tell it’s a word Clive made up a novel approach developed by Oxford Nanopore.
