There seems to bit a bit of a buzz around protein sequencing. One of the questions that comes up is “how easy is it to detect PTMs? (Post Translation Modifications)”. There’s an interesting paper from Gundlach, Dekker and co. on this. Which is a follow up to their earlier work.

It contains this neat figure which shows a number of phosphorylation PTMs on a peptide:
