Protillion - Not Protein Sequencing

I was poking around in the Biobase¹ and came across Protillion.

I found it interesting because it seems protein sequencing adjacent, but not actually protein sequencing. The inverse of protein sequencing perhaps?

The website is interesting, but doesn’t contain as much technical information as I’d like. So I went looking for patents. Which gives us this very cool, but a little confusing figure:
