I'm guessing that a methylation preserving amplification method, which seems to be the goal here, would be quite useful for early cancer diagnosis and other methylation assays. But for how many cycles can their methyltransferase preserve their methylation signal? Because presumably false positive and false negatives will pile up over multiple cycles..
