Thoughts on Chinese nanopore startups
aseq.substack.com

I’ve recently looked at 4 Chinese nanopore sequencing startups: AxBio, Genvida, RH Genetech, and Qitan Technology. In this post I’m going to briefly review each company and give my opinion on how these companies compare.

The high level summary however, is that I’m currently most excited about Qitan Technology. The approach seems low risk and I think it could potentially disrupt the long read market somewhat...

Before digging into this (sorry, paid subscribers only), a quick update on Reticula. I’ve managed to raise a small amount from an Angel investor so thing are moving forward! I will almost certainly need more to reach proof of concept. Anyone interested in hearing more should get in touch! (nava@reticula.bio)
