VividDx is building a single cell Raman diagnostics platform.

They’ve just raised $15M and have a new CEO.

The basic idea is described on their site (but leaves out a few steps):

Vivid are not the first to suggest using Raman recently we’ve seen:

• Pumpkinseed (Protein Sequencing)

• CanSense (Liquid Biopsy)

• Primary Biosciences (Protein Sequencing)

• Armonica (DNA Sequencing)

But I’m unaware of any significant successes here where single molecule or single cell Raman spectra has been shown to have diagnostic value.
