Where’s the Onso… and why are we getting another one?
The Onso was hardly mentioned in the PacBio JPM deck.. the only mention I could see was a single figure which said it was very high accuracy… there were no placement numbers1, Vega numbers were mentioned explicitly here however, 7 units shipped and it seems orders in the double digits.
But this not withstanding it seems like we’re getting another short read SBS2 instrument fairly soon, with the high-throughput “SuperOnso” NovaSeq-class SBS sequencer showing “pilot samples in 2H 2025”.
The “SuperRevio” seems to be stalled, marked only as “In Development”
