Sequencing In The NICU

I was recently discussing rapid clinical long read sequencing in the NICU with someone. I’m strongly in favor of this, but let’s face it I’m broadly in favor of sequencing anybody at any point in time.

I’d probably long read sequence every child at birth ¹. And at this point in time would most likely use PacBio to do this.

But I’m not the target market. So I tried to run the numbers:
