Sikun Sequencers

There are just so many Chinese DNA sequencing companies I find it hard to keep track. Today I came across another one “Sikun”.

I’ve added it to my list of DNA sequencing companies.

From what I can tell the Sikun¹ instruments are 2 color, Illumina-style SBS sequencers.

The high end instrument can deliver 600M 300 cycle reads in 24h. The instrument is fully compatible with Illumina adapters:

This puts them somewhere in the NextSeq 550 to 2000 territory².

From what I can tell the instrument is available in at least: China, Russia, Vietnam and India.
